100 Naked Girls is not your typical book of erotica. Heck, it’s not erotica at all. Instead, it’s all about doing something which gets forgotten in the world of erotica – admiring the female form. Let’s face it, the female form is a very beautiful thing, with wonderful curvature and proportions granted by Mother Nature. Especially in the way that Peter Hegre sees it through the lens of his camera. This is definitely not a porn book and if that’s what you want, you should look elsewhere. However, if you want to simply admire the female form, this is the book for you.
The girls in 100 Naked Girls tend to be young (as they invariably would be in a book like this) and they are posed in ways that evoke the sensuality and beauty of their bodies. You will find that the girls aren’t much for grabbing their pussy or doing things of a sexual nature. Instead, they are more like art models in a classroom with students who are doing a study of the naked form. Marketa, the girl on the cover really sets the pattern for the book, with all the girls being young, beautiful and white.
While I might have appreciated a bit more variety in a book of art featuring the female form, I cannot really fault Hegre on his choice of girls for his book. I enjoyed the book tremendously and I dare say it’s something that could easily be used as a coffee table book if you are more of an artsy type and don’t mind the occasional raised eyebrows from your guests. Others may choose to leave it in the bedroom, but that would be a shame as this isn’t porn (and frankly, if that’s what you want, there are much cheaper alternatives).
